2021 Wenatchee FC Tryout Info and REGISTRATION!

Wenatchee FC is holding tryouts for the 2021-2022 soccer year here soon! Please save the dates! Tryouts are open to anyone looking to explore a select soccer experience or wanting to check out the club. There are opportunities for players interested in development teams, select teams, and premier teams.

Wenatchee FC is a non-profit organization created to provide the best environment possible for youth soccer in the Wenatchee Valley community. The goal of Wenatchee FC is to offer soccer to all youth in the valley that are passionate about competitive soccer and want to take the next step in their soccer journey. Come join us to play - tryouts are FREE!

Online registration may close the day before tryouts.

All players can register on site at tryouts.  Parent/guardian must be present sign forms if registering the day of tryouts.

Location: FOOTHILLS MIDDLE SCHOOL (stay tuned for more information)

Please arrive 15-20 minutes early to sign in or register!

** Players who want to attend the June 1st make-up session, please send Neil Oyston a note at the email below. The make-up session will have on-site registration.  Thank you!


Tryout sessions will include a series of activities, drills, small-sided or full-sided scrimmages where Wenatchee FC Coaches and Staff evaluate players for:

  • Individual Skills
  • Team Skills
  • Age/Level Appropriate Soccer Knowledge
  • Energy and Attitude


  • Bring a mask pending current COVID-19 requirements.
  • Bring water.
  • Arrive early to sign in and prepare for tryout session.
  • Wear weather and soccer competition appropriate clothing.
  • Soccer cleats/shin guards are ideal – but not required.
  • Be prepared to have some fun!


  • Collect information about club programs and team expectations.
  • Learn about scholarships and requirements.
  • Learn about being a part of a professional youth soccer club.


  • All programs are overseen by our Director of Coaching Neil Oyston who also coaches our 2021 WNPL Championship B05 team featured in our March 2021 Newsletter.
  • Check out our February 2021 and May 2021  newsletters featuring our B03 McCourtie and B07 Pefferman/Young teams.
  • All coaches and staff are US Club Soccer certified and credentialed.
  • The club has programs for all levels of players with a goal of providing kids from the recreational clinic level, to the premier level, the opportunity to enjoy playing and learning soccer!
  • All teams and recreational clinics have administrative support from our leadership team.
  • Teams start training in late May, or early June, after tryouts and team selection announcements.
  • 2 weekday training sessions per week are typical for June-November and for March-May.
  • Off-season for most teams runs from mid November through February - some teams do offer training in a more limited way over the winter with premier teams often attending winter tournaments.
  • Teams look to attend 2-3 summer weekend tournaments, primarily in Washington State.
  • Fall league play runs from late August or September until November.
  • Spring league is available for most teams from March/April into May.
  • Development and select teams primarily compete against other Eastern Washington teams.
  • Premier and select teams can compete state wide.
  • High School aged teams have league play that accommodates the high school seasons.
  • All age groups look to compete in the Washington Cup tournament - typically in fall for HS boys with others in April/May.
  • Wenatchee FC prides itself on providing a significant, need-based scholarship program.
  • Look for recreational youth clinics throughout the year!
  • The club also has a tax deductible donation program.

Originally from England, Neil moved to the USA in 2014 to pursue his American Dream of Coaching Soccer. During this time Neil has been a prevalent figure in the club world, previously working at San Clemente Surf in CA and as a Director of Coaching for Wenatchee FC in WA state.

Neil was also recognized as a member of the NSCAA 30 under 30 program in 2018 which recognizes 30 of the best upcoming developing coaches in the country. Neil has his NSCAA national and advanced diploma along with the Premier Diploma with Distinction. Neil also FA Licences from the UK. Neil also has his BA in Sports Marketing and PR degree from Leeds University in England.

Working with the youth allows Neil to inspire and develop the players of tomorrow Neil’s favourite quote is “He who says he can and he who says he can’t are both usually right” showing that anything in this world is possible.
